Practice

A Five-Minute Morning Grounding Ritual.

Before the day gathers its momentum, take a few quiet moments to arrive where you already are.

There is no need to achieve anything.
Simply allow yourself to begin the day with presence.

01

Stand Upon the Earth (1 Minute)

Stand comfortably with your feet about hip-width apart.
Allow your knees to soften.
Feel the weight of your body settling gently through your feet into the ground beneath you.

Without forcing anything, imagine the earth quietly supporting your weight.

Take a slow breath in through the nose.
Exhale gently through the mouth.
Repeat three times.

02

Follow the Breath (1 Minute)

Allow your breathing to become slow and natural.
As you inhale, notice the gentle expansion of your chest and abdomen.
As you exhale, feel your shoulders soften.

There is nothing to control.
Nothing to change.
Only the simple rhythm of breathing.

If your attention wanders, kindly return it to the next breath.

03

Awaken the Senses (1 Minute)

Without moving too quickly, notice what is already around you.

The morning light.
The sound of birds.
The movement of leaves.
The warmth of your clothing.
The air upon your skin.

Allow yourself to experience this moment without needing to name or judge it.
Simply notice.

04

Settle Into Stillness (1 Minute)

Place one hand gently over your heart and the other just below your navel.
Close your eyes if it feels comfortable.

With each exhale, imagine any unnecessary tension gently leaving the body.

There is nowhere else you need to be.
For this one minute, simply remain here.

05

Begin with Intention (1 Minute)

Before continuing with your day, quietly ask yourself:
"How would I like to meet today?"

Not what you need to accomplish.
Not what needs fixing.
Only how you wish to arrive.

Take one final slow breath.
Open your eyes.
Carry that intention gently with you as you step into the day.
